I'm a native Californian, and I can say I really love San Francisco. I don't live there now, but I have so many good memories about being there. I had friends living there when I was a university student and would frequently drive to meet with them. I remember China Town being so fun, so many authentic shops and restaurants. It has some of the best food, and everything felt grungy, cool, and exciting.

San Francisco is one of the most distinctive and beloved cities in the United States of America. Because of the view, the mix of culture, hi-tech, water, history, nightlife, and rolling steep hills it's an indelible city that no one can forget. Few cities combine natural beauty and cultural history in quite the same way. Long before the city existed, the area was home to the Ohlone, who lived throughout the region for thousands of years. In 1776, Spanish colonists established the Presidio of San Francisco and the Mission San Francisco de Asís, laying the foundations for the city that would follow.
